Impact Assessment - January 2026 Water Supply Failure

In January 2026, our town and surrounding areas faced an unprecedented five-day total loss of water supply. For many members and non EGBA members alike, this resulted in forced closures, lost revenue, and significant operational distress.

The East Grinstead Business Association (EGBA) is committed to ensuring that the voices of our local business community are heard. We believe the response from South East Water was inadequate, and the lack of proactive communication and compensation since the event unacceptable.

We are launching this survey to quantify the true economic impact of the outage. Your data will allow us to present a unified, evidence-based case to South East Water, local government, and regulatory bodies to demand the compensation and accountability our town deserves.
